What Kind Of Co-op Are We?
Anormalidad is an independent housing cooperative in the Cherrywood neighborhood in East Austin. Founded in 2018 as Concordia Co-op and re-enchanted as Anormalidad in 2021, we support a community of diverse individuals and hold strong anti-capitalist views. We are an LGBTQ+ household, intergenerational, and also have a vegan-friendly kitchen. We welcome all in our home.
Our home is organized cooperatively. This means that we collectively pool funds and pay rent, make decisionsabout our community together at our (biweekly) meetings, and work towards consensus in making communal decisions. We buy food and other We put energy into caring and supporting for each other
